Here is small description on our Gentle Breaking program.
Imprinting & Gentle Breaking-1 or 2 month contract
Imprinting for foals- provides the vital skills for a newborn or young foal, that are needed to provide a trusting, safe, calm, easy handling relationship throughout the life of the horse.
Gentle breaking/Finishing & Bad Habit Correcting -This process provides a slow, gentle & thorough process that makes for a much more calm satisfied horse. This helps young, unfinished & aggressive horses to be more trusting in humans and calmer on or off the trail! What we do in this process is put Time, Miles & Trail smarts into your horse. We work on correcting your horse to be safe for you on or off the trail. We spend hours working with your horse on his back & on the ground. With a 1 month contract you will see results & many improvements in your horse. With a 2 month contract you will see dramatic results, which gives us enough time to finish most horses.
With a 1 or 2 month contract our goal is to make your horse safe & enjoyable to ride & be with. We always get maximum results with any horse!
You can always trust our training methods to be gentle & very humane, we never train by force!!!!

1 or 2 month contracts include board & hay fed twice daily. Grain or any other supplements you wish to have added to their diet, will be at an extra charge.
We accept most major credit cards!
We also provide hauling services from your ranch to ours.
We have many years of professional experience. My assistant trainer is: Amber Annis. Assistant instructor is David Alliman. Arrangements can be made to haul your horse to our facility. We offer all levels of training and our training methods are always gentle and never harsh. Enclosed will be a list of professional and personal references along with other information I hope you will find helpful. Thank you for your interest!

Flat rate-not based on a montly
limit/schedule General Training: $700.00
Finishing (for green horses/or bad habits-problem solving): $750.00
Stallions & Mules: $800.00
Imprinting & Gentle Breaking: $850.00
If you provide or bring your own feed (Hay/grain) for the horse we would be willing to give you a discounted rate on all training!

General Training: 1 month $400.00 / 2 months $650.00
Finishing (for green horses/or bad habits-problem solving): 1 month $450.00 / 2 months $700.00
Stallions & Mules: 1 month $550.00 / 2 months $750.00
Imprinting & Gentle Breaking: $850.00 Flat Rate (For safety of the Horse & Trainer we do not limit gentle breaking to months, gentle breaking time varies for each horse)
All rates include supply of hay & board. If training exceeds the agreed time of contract, hay will be at owner’s expense (unless special arrangements are made otherwise). Hay is fed twice daily, grain or any other supplements you want added to their diet will be additional. Special or Private training contracts available!

Instructing
Group Lessons: $40.00 per lesson/per person
Private Lessons: $45.00 per lesson/per person
**Discounted rates available for 2 or more lessons/house calls a week+ Fuel**
House call Rates for Training:
General Training: $45.00 with Instructing Lesson: $55.00
Extensive Training: $55.00 With Instructing Lessons: $65.00
**Discounted rates available for 2 or more times a week + Fuel**
A Fuel charge will apply to classes held outside of the Good Shepherd Ranch property (house calls). Horse must be provided on house calls. Each Session runs 1 to 1 ½ hours. Instructing classes include our trail savvy courses. Prices vary on all other instructing/training/ classes or courses. These are basic rates, Prices subject to change without notice.
Trail Rides:
Group Trail Ride Adventures: $35.00 per person or $30.00 (for 2 people or more)
Private Trail Rides Adventures: $35.00 per ride
Trail rides range from 1-3 hours, the length of trail ride will be customer’s choice but will not exceed 3 hours. If you are interested in a trail ride that will exceed 3 hours, arrangements can be made at an additional cost.
